The common House Sparrow, Passer domesticus, to give it its scientific name, has all but disappeared from many towns. It used to be common in central London but now is a rarity, the causes are still under investigation. They seem to thrive at St Margaret's, I've counted over 50 in my garden on some occasions and they will eat all the seed that I can put out for them at a fantastic rate. I must admit to having a soft spot for sparrows, there are about 19 species of 'Passer' sparrows and they all seem to have real attitude.

What sort of camera do you use?
I use a Canon EOS10d WITH A Cannon 100-400MM LENS, OR A 35-80MM lens for views.
