The monthly Parish Magazine, the Parish News is so much more than the title implies. I contribute in a small way with a piece about birds and other wildlife and there are many articles on numerous subjects, from history to gardening. from saints to cooking, from travel to extracts from"I married a Doctor" and of course religious and Church news. The local clubs and societies are also represented and this month includes a thought provoking piece on Global Warming and the Carbon Cycle. With a quiz page and a all the up coming dates for the village that are coming up this must be the most complete Parish Magazine I've seen. Today at an enjoyable coffee (and tea) morning I was lucky enough to meet the team that produces the magazine, the distributors, the writers and Penny Simpson and the editorial group, along with Tony Durkin, the Vicar. As a fairly newcomer to the village, we've been here for nearly seven years, it was great to talk to so many people who new so much about the village. SO remember, get the parish news it's a great 40 p's worth! This is a small village near Dover in Kent. My intention is to show some of the Village, its history and the wildlife I find there.
