Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Sunday Afternoon Tea Party In Aid of "Breakthrough Breast Cancer".
This was the second fund raising event organised by Lynette Morley-Norris for the Charity "Breakthrough Breast Cancer". It was held in the Channel Room of St Margaret's Village Hall, and after the success of last year's function which raised over £1000, it is hoped that today's tea party will do equally well. Today's event is in remembrance of Diane Brown and her family were in attendance. Everyone wore pink, or at least one item of pink clothing. Lynette and Paula prepared the buffet and cakes were donated by the "Bluebird Tea Rooms" of St Margaret's and "Oregano Bistro" of Deal.

The centrepiece was a cake designed by Barbara Hicks.

The raffle had many prizes donated by local businesses and this one, a beauty treatment won by Tony Wilkins will surely stretch the most able beautician to the limit.

A worthy cause indeed. Maybe you can raise more money by selling tickets to watch the beauty treatment in progress!

We raised over £900 at our pink tea party, however Paula, my daughter Rosanna and I did the 5KM breast cancer walk on new years day, and together with the money raised on this event we have over £1300 in total.

Thankyou for all your support.
