Living on the edge?

When the sea is calm like this it looks totally benign, however with the consequences of global warming the white cliffs will face the prospect of a real battering as sea levels rise in the coming century.
South Sands House has been here since about 1825 and has great views over the channel.

These two houses overlook the bay and although the camera angle foreshortens the distances both are fairly close to the cliff edge, let us hope that the predictions of sea level rises don't materialise.
