Scarce Chocolate-tip (Clostera anachoreta)This uncommon moth used to breed on the Dungeness peninsular, but has become scarce. The few records in the south east probably relate to migrants.
Like to commoner Chocolate tip it rests the the end of the abdomen pointing skywards.
This evening Kent played Durham in the quarter final of the twenty-twenty cup.
Kent stumbled to 149-7 after Joe Denly (31) and Rob Key (30) had put on 69 for the first wicket.
Azhar Mahmood (14 off 11 balls) and Ryan McLaren (21 not out off 13 balls) took Kent to one run shy of the 150-mark, thanks to a mighty six from Azhar. This didn't look good enough, with the boundaries well in.
It didn't seem enough runs but the mass huddle had the desired result as Durham slumped to 5 for 2 with Wayne Parnell bowling both openers for ducks.
Coetzer was stunned by Jones off Cook's bowling.
Wayne Parnell won't be 20 until Thursday, but as we saw in the 20-20 World cup he is already very good at this form of the game. Durham never properly recovered and despite a brave 47 from Benkenstein they ended up 93 all out. Treadwell took 3-18 and Mahmood 2-14. There was a spectacular, direct hit, run our from Simon Cook and McLaren took the other wicket. Kent have made finals day again, this will be on Aug 15th at Edgbaston.

Parnell was a revelation - just like watching Sami a few years ago, with every ball a cracker.
We must have been sitting just along from you, in the bleachers.
