Wolves and Tigers

The weather today was not good, but the days main fixture, between the Clitheroe Wolves, under nine yellows (in blue) and the Rossendale Valley Tigers did go ahead.

Here Jack playing at left defence (it's a seven-a-side game) came in to tackle the tigers No 7, a very accomplished player. Jack did well and got the ball into touch. The Tigers had slightly the better of the first half and built up a 2-0 lead.

The Wolves best player, Kit did have the chance to reduce to deficit with a penalty,

but unfortunately as well as clearing the keeprs head he also cleared the bar. The Wolves did get back into the game but in the end lost 3-2. Other scores today were a 2-0 win for one team of reds over another team of reds, and another team of reds loosing a 2 nil lead to the Iron.
Meanwhile back in sunny? Kent, Bockhill continued it good run of Autumn birds.
