There was a bit of a commotion out side the window as I was eating my breakfast after "doing" my moth traps.

When I looked out there was a Sparrowhawk flying round in circles, scattering the birds on the feeders far and wide.

It failed to catch anything and sat on the wall of a circular flower bed looking rather puzzled about the wholle thing. I mad a mistake and tried to move to a better angle, but alas it saw the movement and departed. As far as I could see it hadn't managed a kill, and the feeding birds soon returned to their breakfasts.
