Last nights catch in my moth traps was probably the worst I've ever had in July. It was almost as if someone had beaten me to the traps and removed all the interesting moths before I got there! However I was surprised to find a Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) perched on the edge of one of the egg boxes. It took some time to warm up and fly.

Trap Surprise
Last nights catch in my moth traps was probably the worst I've ever had in July. It was almost as if someone had beaten me to the traps and removed all the interesting moths before I got there! However I was surprised to find a Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) perched on the edge of one of the egg boxes. It took some time to warm up and fly.
