Storm Eleanor pays a visit.

A walk from home to the monument in decent sunshine but with the tail end Storm Eleanor gusting up to about 45 mph was almost birdless, with the exception of a few Carrion Crows and Herring Gulls. A few Robins ticked in the scrub along the road but little else moved. The lane down to Bockhill farm had a small fallen tree, which seemed to be mainly Ivy. When I got to the cliff top the exposed position meant that I didn't stay long scanning, but I had brief views of a close Raven and Cormorants were moving along using the cliffs to shield them from the blow. A Container Ship was moored close in and the ferries seem to be using a route in the lee of the cliffs as they arrived.
