Herring Gulls

Herring Gulls are the commonest gulls around St Margaret's. At the beginning of winter the adults develop quite strong streaking on their white heads, but but now it isn't so evident. There are several very similar and closely related gulls, but the pink legs and pale eye make this one easy yo identify. This is the one that sits on chimneys and makes a racket when you're having a lie in!
