Even on a gloomy day, such as today, the tiny church of St Peter at Westcliffe makes a great picture. As you head down Dover Road towards St Margaret's it stands on the left opposite Wallet's Court. Behind the original small cemetery is the Westcliffe Civic Cemetery and Dare Garden of Remembrance, that opened in 1997. I could find nothing about the church on the WEB, but I'm sure the history is worth finding out about, and I will come back to this with more information in a future posting. So if you're a St Margaret's historian and can point me to the best references I'd like to hear from you.
