The View from above


Looking down on the Bay from St Margaret's Leas is almost a birds' eye view. Below, you can see the houses, included White Cliffs, once owned by Noel Coward and subsequently Ian Fleming. At the end of the lawn in the "Boat House" and beyond that the car park. The holes in the car park are now so deep that if you fall down one you might need a ladder to get out! Therefore it is good to know that starting this weekend it is going to be repaired, although I'm puzzled as to why it needs to be closed for four weeks. Let's hope that when they finish there the council will get round to the roads in the Village which are deplorable.

The view is just looking over the cliffs, most of the village is "up here", a road winds it's way doawn to the Bay. So yes, I walked from the car park at the Monument(see Dec 2nd),
