A walk from the village, along the cliffs southwards, brings the reward of a view of Dover Castle. This picture is taken from the road near the entrance to the Langdon Bay Radar Station on a somewhat misty afternoon today. (I needed the trip out to get away from the misery of watching England bat in the Cricket World Cup). The main Castle is on the right and the Church on the left. This strategically situated castle has a long history and the site is riddled with underground tunnels. It is an impressive site when floodlit at night.
