Spain 11th May 2007 - Alcala de Los Gazules

This is the first day of our eight day stay. We stayed at a friends house in the delightful "white town" of Alcala de Los Gazules, about 40 miles from Jerez.

There is a colony of the delightful Lesser Kestrel, that nest in the walls around the house. The one below is a juvenile perched opposite the roof terrace.

The Lesser Kestrel below has caught a large beetle.

As well as the Lesser Kestrel, other birds of prey are easy to watch from the terrace, such as this Griffon Vulture.
