Spain 15th May 2007 Arcos de la Frontera and Grazalema

The morning started with coffee on the terrace while watching the Lesser Kestrels.

We visited another of the "white towns" of Andalucia, the impressive Arcos de la Frontera, but we didn't do it justice must return in the future. We had a splendid lunch at El Santiscal, over looking the Emblase de Arcos, where I watched a distant Purple Gallinule (Swamphen) while eating.

Then we move on to Grazalema. The road from El Bosque to Grazalema is one of my favourites, and are good areas for walking in the mountains. On the outskirts of Grazamela I watched these two Serins performing their jingly song. Shame about the fence!

The railings a the back of the car park in the centre of Grazamela overlook a spectacular drop down from the town to the valley below.

This is the centre of this charming town and many of the houses have there windows beautifully decorated with flowering plants.
