As the year goes on and the summer approaches there is a greater variety of moths attracted to my Mercury Vapour light. The Swallow Prominent is one of an attractive family and has to be carefully checked to ensure it isn't its close relative the Lesser Swallow Prominent, while the Poplar Hawk-moth is unmistakable.
