I noticed that the Blue Tit family were feeding outside our landing window. They had obviously found a good source of protein, probably black-fly. A look at the female showed just how much the stress of raising a family had taken out of her. She really looks tatty, and is in dire need of a new set of feathers when her annual moult arrives.

The male, on the other hand, still looks in pretty good shape, perhaps he didn't do his share of the domestic work.

While I was up there I noticed that work was still going on over the road. Even though it is a weekend the dry weather is too good to let go by. It's good to see that there is progress on the top floor

This wave is for you Hannah.
