Coming Ready or Not

The cry from the old game of hide and seek seems appropriate at the moment. Tomorrow is the first of the two Garden Safari days in the village and hopefully a lot of people will be coming. The weather has be really difficult and all those plans to get flowers at the right time have been put to the sword. We watched in horror the damage that the wind did in the last couple of day. But one flower, with no help from us seemed to have timed it emergence perfectly. The first water lily of the year opened today.

This is the little stream, running into the pond in the front garden. There were a lot of Blue-tailed Damselflies today, but butterfly and moth numbers have been very low, I hope that I catch something interesting tonight to put on show tomorrow.
