The
Paddyfield Warbler was, surprisingly, still in the same area this morning. Due to the awful morning weather, that slowly improved through the day, the number of birders visiting was spread out through the day, rather than an early morning rush. The weather ensured that the surrounding field matched the name of the bird we were watching.
The bird was very, very obliging and I got a few pictures that improved on yesterday. As it is probably going to be a once in a lifetime
opportunity to get so close to a
Paddyfield Warbler I've over indulged a bit today.
At times it came close that the 1.8 metres minimum focus distance of my lens.
The leg colour and bill colour was more obvious in the better light.
Even the very small pale tip to each
mandible was obvious as was the eye colour.
Perversely, having waited for sunshine it was much more difficult to get a satisfactory image when the sun was out due to the shadows.
