66 mph Gusts

The Met Office at Langdon Bay reported gusts of up to 66mph between 9.00 and 10.00 hours. Since then the reports have not been available.

Down in the bay it was impossible to watch from outside the car, because the rain was travelling horizontally. I could make out some Fulmars and Kittiwakes but the visibility was atrocious.
I decided to have a look at Dover Harbour from the White-cliffs NT car park, in case there were any gulls to pick out. Even the gulls seemed to have taken shelter and there were few to see. The electric notice boards were warning of long delays on the ferries but a Norfolk Line left as I was watching, good luck to them!
