April fools Waiting Rooms

I was worried when I got an appointment for the final pre-op check up (for my bionic knee) for April 1st. Thankfully they had no flying penguins (BBC 1), or Bird traps for sending migrant finches to Denmark because they'd stayed too long (Today, Radio 4) or their equivalent at Ashford Hospital.

I did get time before the drive to Ashford to do the moth traps, and found the grand total of eight moths of four species including the first Early Thorn of the year. After that it was a lot of sitting around but some very empathic chats with the staff at the Hospital.

So I now know that it will be five weeks tomorrow, so I hope a few migrants get here nice and early and drop in for a photo shoot.
