What a frisky little blog you have Tony! "Keep up the good work" would definitely be an inappropriate blog comment to make.
I made a similar observation last week. A female Black-chinned Hummingbird appeared at my backyard feeders, just sitting and resting and drinking nectar for a very long time, obviously exhausted from migration. One of the males, however, immediately starts harassing her and putting on his "hey baby" routine, zipping through the air in a large U-shaped flight. I mean, c'mon, give the poor lady a rest!
