All of a Puff

I didn't take many photo's in Venezeula. Just watching and seeing birds in the forest was difficult enough and, in up to 40 deg C temperatures, carrying a camera bag all day was just too much. Occasionally in more open areas I did manage a few pictures, and this Spotted Puffbird was one of my favourites. Systematically, they come between Kingfishers and Woodpeckers, and I guess you can see some similarities to both ion their looks.

Two more puffbirds, this time two very noisy Two-banded Puffbirds. This was ina scrubby area, where, unlike the forest, the light was good and the shutter didn't need to be open for half a minute to get an image!
