Back and Harpy

Just back from three weeks in Eastern Venezuela. This juvenile Harpy Eagle was one of the highlights. With about 550 species seen it will take some time to sink in what a fantastic trip it was. It was my first time in this part of South America and the variety and diversity of the birds was quite breath taking as well as extremely hard to get to grips with when a canopy flock came through the forest. If I can get over the 35 deg change in temperature I will try to get back to St Margaret's birding next week.
