A Damsel Day

The warm weather encouraged a good showing of Azure Damselflies around the top pond in the garden. A common insect, but no less fascinating for that.

A single male.

A pair ensuring that the species will continue to thrive.

It doesn't look that much fun, but I'm sure they enjoy it.

This afternoon I sat an watched a Dunnock feeding by the door to the pation and this evening two Badgers had their supper in the same place.

The smaller one is a sow !

I had to close the door when this one decided to have a sniff in case I was hiding more food inside!
