After a "big blow" the sea is always an interesting sight. However it flattens down quite quickly once the weather has calmed.

Inevitably the first bird I saw on the beach was a Rock pipit, they are always around at high tide

The water really foams as it comes in and lumps of the suds were blowing up from the beach.

Breaking the rules and photographing into the sun can produce some great textures in the waves.

Young Kittiwakes were passing, but not really this close.

As the sun dropped down over the cliffs it light up the clouds in the sky.
