Almost a Washout

The weather today was awful. I did get a few moths in the MV trap, but almost got drowned checking them. The for the rest of the day not only did it stay dark but it rained most 0f the time.

One new moth for the year was "The Shears" named after the small shears like pattern on the wing. I didn't put the traps on tonight so I can have a lie in tomorrow morning.
Fortunately it didn't rain in Manchester and with the help of some lenient interpretations of the LBW law and some poor catching and fielding from New Zealand, England had a comfortable win, and I remained on the settee to watch the winning runs.
