Big Baby

High tide was around lunch time today and I though that the lake of available feeding area might bring the Water Pipit into the the area, but no luck today.

I was amused to see this pair of Herring Gulls. The juvenile bird, now about 8 months old, still though that it was worth it's while to beg from the adult. The adult however took no notice at all, perhaps it was deaf because the youngster made a loud and hideous noise.

This is a view of part the South Foreland Valley where the scrub has been cleared, with the "digger" in view. Still no sign of the ponies, they must be hiding somewhere!
